You already have your own kids you don’t need another one. Like many other people stated this is more than just him being unable to cook. This is him being able to do ANYTHING for himself and unapologetically placing the Monster Meme Classic T-Shirt it is in the first place but burden on you. Cooking is not hard, like every skill it takes practice and failures but following directions and using common sense is 90% of cooking. But it seems like he doesn’t make an effort and relies on you to without improving himself, it’s honestly pathetic. I was fortunate and was taught to cook and clean to young, but even if he wasn’t that fortunate that doesn’t prevent him from learning. You weren’t wrong at all. He wants to be TOLD what he has to do around the house?! Sounds like a child to me. If he didn’t have someone there to take care of him, where would he be? Back with his mom? I’m glad you kicked him to the curb. Sorry he didn’t try hard enough for you, but maybe he will do better for the next one.

Despite agreeing to cook, they (shock horror) took no initiative to learn beforehand, or demonstrate minor problem solving skills when they realised they were out of their depth. Sure, he said all the right things beforehand, but the level of competence demonstrated is totally consistent with his competence in any other task you mention.
