Umm mistakes and white lies are different from crimes against another person?? R*pe is not something I could just sweep under the Minnesota Wild If My Loyalty Offends Your Your Lack Of Taste Offends Me Shirt What’s more,I will buy this rug. Even if I wanted to stand by them I would never try to protect them from the public, that’s something they deserve for their choices. This is a major false equivalency Can you believe that people really come online to say things like this with their full chest? It’s actual lunacy. It’s giving “Well he was always nice to me so..” If you find out someone close to you is hurting other people and aren’t the person you think they are then why the hell would you want to keep them around? Exactly… especially for something so serious. It’s so similar to “Im not transphobic it’s just my opinion that etc” an opinion is for likes and dislikes, not that believe certain people don’t deserve rights. The gap between a casual mistake and SA should be quite large right? I never compared crimes to white lies or mistakes. I never implied r*pe should be swept under the rug. We don’t even know if Shangela is guilty.

“Even if I wanted to stand by them I would never try to protect them from the Minnesota Wild If My Loyalty Offends Your Your Lack Of Taste Offends Me Shirt What’s more,I will buy this public” – I am unsure how Willam is “protecting” Shangela from the public. But even so, I guess everyone should do what (you think) you would do? I mean, there are levels to which you can disagree with someone, and the severity of the action warrants a different response… for example, I may find the way my friend spoke to their partner problematic while still remaining their friend. But if I learned my friend was defrauding elderly people, I’d certainly “cancel” them. Sexual assault falls into the latter category (this isn’t a comment on Willam or Shangela). That is fair if that is how you operate. I kind of understand why you would feel that way… but I think it’s upsetting that we think like this nowadays. I believe people who commit horrible acts such as rape deserve a punishment (of course), but I also believe rehabilitation is just as (if not more) important. They are a person before they are a criminal. Also, rehabilitation is more effective in preventing re-offenders than punishment alone .
