Why the fuck would anyone stay in an airbnb now days ? Same price as a hotel, plus weird fees, plus weird property owners. I’ve stayed at an air BNB with a camera in the living room/kitchen area. I didn’t feel offended, it was a huge house and it would definitely discourage parties by having a camera. If it was in a bedroom or a studio apartment I would definitely have an issue though lol. I would wave my dik in front of it and turn around shake my nuts. 15min intervals so they continuously get to look at it. This is why I don’t use Air b&b. I know they are just protecting their property but privacy is still more important to me. Hotels for the win OMG I have been in the gym too long today! Assume that there is a mic on. Seriously, look at the subreddit for Airbnb; it’s a damn nightmare, and many hosts do not follow the rules. Airbnb doesn’t give a damn. I have three AirBNB properties (soon to be two) and cameras are prohibited unless they are outside and well documented. I’d report this. Why didn’t you just tape one of your phones up there, and leave it on meatspin.com for your entire trip. I would have gladly lost use of a phone, or tablet, for that. I think AirB&B has rules against that – you should report it to them – and most states do too, you should report it to both the state and the city. The owner may find themself in jail. There’s no way I’d place cameras in bedrooms or bathrooms of a AirBnB-type place I’m renting out but definitely would have them in living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens etc and I would make sure and disclose that in the short-term rental agreement with how many there are and specifically where the cameras are for full disclosure. Sorry but people are POS’ and will destroy things or damage property then claim they didn’t touch anything and then the owner / renter is responsible for charges because insurance will only cover so much or most times nothing at all because they cannot get in contact with the rentee due to false / wrong information given or they do and the rentee claims the damage already existed so the insurance drops the claim. Sorry to the legit renters that respect and take care of the property you stay in but the terrible-10% ruin it for everyone.
