Back when I was a HCA in a hospital I asked an old boy, “can I take your temperature from your ear?” and he started unbuttoning his trousers much to my dismay. Turns out he thought I’d said “rear”. Went to the cinema with some friends. One friend had her arms full because she was carrying popcorn, a drink and some snacks, so she just held the entry ticket in her mouth. As we were entering the screen and handing our tickets, the cinema staff just pulled out the ticket from her mouth, tore off the bit he needed to keep, then put the stub back into her mouth.

Being a comedian in an old people’s home is the Mess with the crabo get the stabo shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this easiest job in the world. Had a customer in telling some story about her husband having to dash out to take the bins out with nothing but a night shirt on and she was worried what the neighbours could see. Without thinking I blurted out ‘well if it was really cold, then nothing at all’ and we both cracked up. I was shopping at the local supermarket with my 4 year old, I asked what colour Milk we have (meaning blue/green/red top) so she could chose it and put it in the basket, she replied white… everyone in earshot starting laughing and I was both proud and humbled at the same time..
