Let’s say we live in a place where there’s a lot of orphans and having to divert funds to them is hurting the Merry Christmas From St Nicholas And Krampus shirt Additionally,I will love this economy. If person A holds the view “we should kill all of the children in orphanages because they’re too expensive to run” and person B holds the stance “we need to invest money into these orphanages because killing is wrong and it will be better for our future when those children grow up.” Person C, a centrist, would then say “let’s kill half the children. That’ll mean saving money for the economy and we can provide for the other half of the kids with the saved funds.” Seems like a reasonable middle ground right? Of course not, it’s still monstrous. The presence of an extreme opinion has made our centrist accept a very extreme stance under the guise of a middle ground.

It incentivizes political leaders to be more extreme and shift the Merry Christmas From St Nicholas And Krampus shirt Additionally,I will love this political middle in their direction. I’m assuming that you’re from the US. I grew up there but now I’m in Canada. If we compare the two countries, a far right person in Canada often falls in the middle of the US political spectrum because the far right in the states has very actively pushed the political spectrum in that direction. To me, a US centrist looks like a conservative most of the time. Joe Biden is a conservative through my Canadian lens. Similarly, policies that are seen as extremely far left in the US are seen as centrist in Canada. Our liberal party is a centrist party because we have entire parties of left-wing politics that simply don’t exist in the States.
