With an informed voting populace that understands government and the Mermaid Santa’s favorite bichota Ugly Christmas shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this issues at hand, this tactic of steering the spectrum into your half doesn’t work. Like the orphanage example, it’s obvious that one person has an awful take and should be outright ignored. However, when political parties become sports teams with rabid fandoms that don’t understand the issues or what policies are actually being enacted, this tactic works very well. Unfortunately, that is precisely the situation in the US. The scary thing is that we’re watching this playbook get used all over the world with great efficacy. Plus what is a centrist? A social conservative socialist? A Progressive Libertarian? In the Mermaid Santa’s favorite bichota Ugly Christmas shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this end any political issue comes down to a choice, and oftentimes there is no mid-way. In the past I looked down upon centrists since they were almost all right leaning people just pretending not to be right. For example abortion laws are very political nowadays, what it comes down to – you are either pro abortion, or you are not, like what kind of middle ground can you reach between these approaches? It’s just physically impossible to achieve some sort of middle ground.
