They literally paid an entire person to do what I took over and the same is happening for you. They fired your boss and want you to fill in the role. So they don’t have to pay your boss anymore and are attempting to have you do your bosses job without paying you more money. I wouldn’t do it with financial compensation and if they don’t agree I would start to look for a new place to work. It’s hard to find good people these days and working for companies that don’t value their employees isn’t something people have to put up with anymore in my opinion. It seems across the board that there are plenty of jobs to be had and you shouldn’t work for company that is literally trying to take advantage of you and profit directly off of your expanded responsibilities.
