I like that they added jumping and increased the range you can jump from Dark Souls, but keeping height as a way to enforce boarders along with it makes it feel super fickle. Will I find a whole new area or die immediately? Who knows???? Personally I don’t like Radahn, he looks amazing and the idea is really cool, but if I want to fight a mediocre mmo boss with a bunch of braindead guys I reinstall WoW The world is too big. I liked it at first. But it could use some shrinkage. Too much open are with repetitive enemies. Backstepping !!! I genuinely never used it for anything but falling to my death because I wanted to run in a platforming puzzle but backstepped instead

The sidequest design. People will say that quest logs and markers are “unimmersive” they’re a lot fucking more immersive than a gamefaqs walkthrough open on my other monitor. I sure do like how I experience these storylines first as text explaining what happens next rather than seeing it for myself! Cant view ash of war descriptions while equipping them. I just want to see what each one does without opening up inventory! The cheap slideshow opening cut scene. I love From Software’s cut scenes, and I understand why they don’t have too many. (Environmental storytelling, it’s a game not a movie etc.) But doing a slideshow for the Marvel doctor strange in the multiverse of madness classic retro magic warp logo shirt but in fact I love this very beginning of the game was a huge letdown. You get a roll slightly wrong with a crucible knight and you have no choice but to watch your character get carved up as he goes through 5 slashes in a row from one mistake, same with some of the attacks from Erd Tree Avatars, not to mention how a pack of dogs can just render you inert. While with groups of enemies I can understand it happening, it shouldn’t happen with bosses or 1 on 1. Just adds to the “cheese” element a lot of the enemies seem to rely on to defeat you and feels like poor or lazy design, not to mention how frustrating it is knowing you can do nothing. Don’t feel bad, it’s easily missed and the game hides a lot of useful stuff from players. For instance, there is a way of ordering the inventory via the use of “triangle” on ps5 (I think) or equiv button on another system that the game just never mentions. But your point raises another issue: Even though this is on the legend at the bottom of the map, it’s pretty easy to overlook it. My friends & I also didn’t realize it was there until well into the game.
