The theme music at the Marvel Thor vs lokI comic book Thor love and thunder shirt besides I will buy this beginning. I hate the sound of a million violins dryly and dramatically scratching together like droning insects every time I am at the title screen. I mash X as quickly as possible and sometimes I still can’t escape it. Ah I love this. It really sets the tone. It starts all peaceful and then hits that anxiety inducing scratch of violin. It pretty much sums up the entire experience of the game. The Souls-style combat has never been what I’d call good. Serviceable and satisfying, sure, but it’s not complex, it’s not especially deep, and the skill returns on sweat equity are low. I think what makes it weak in Elden Ring is, a lot of design choices around bosses and enemies in the game carry over from Bloodborne (level and frequency of aggression) and Sekiro (duration of bursts of aggression) without the mechanics that kept the combat good in those games. There’s no rally or baked-in quickstep (I know Quickstep and BHS are in there as weapon arts) to combat aggression like in Bloodborne, and there’s there’s no way to counter a long combo without sprinting or rolling out of range (whereas in Sekiro if you were deflecting, your posture couldn’t be broken).

The result of combining those mechanics for bosses and enemies, but locking the Marvel Thor vs lokI comic book Thor love and thunder shirt besides I will buy this player into being a Dark Souls protagonist is: Dark Souls punishes the greedy, Bloodborne and Sekiro the passive and hesitant, while Elden Ring just punishes participation. Unless you play an Easy Mode build. When playing coop, getting invaded. Not here for pvp. And no full coop mode. Make everything twice as hard. Thats fine. Just wanna play with buddy Haven’t played for that long and maybe I’m missing something but being able to equip and unequip items when sorting my chest at a site of grace Quest system or lack thereof. It’s the same system since demon’s souls and that game is 2 generations and like 13 years old. We didn’t need a literal quest log but the game would have benefited from something to track important NPCs or requests.
