OP for example is selling a house and Foxtons charges the highest commission fees of any estate agency I know (I work in social housing so deal with estate agents a lot). In the region of 3-5%, whereas most agents will be <1.5%. Now that may not sound like a lot, but when you’re selling a house in London, that’s thousands of pounds extra for no reason. Then on top of that you have shit customer services. Makes zero sense to me how Foxtons is still in business. Exactly! The fees are high but we though ok – good service, good access, detail focused, and confident they can get us a good price. They have delivered on none of those – actually wanted us to go below purchase price after signing so they could get it off market quick, to which I said then in what world are your fees justified.

Funny.
