Yeah, we all have a different cocktail of traumas so the Mariah Carey 35th anniversary 1958 2023 signature shirt and by the same token and same recipe isn’t going to work for everyone, but you all have to understand that it is ABSOLUTELY your responsibility to take action if you want to get better. Sounds like if you disagree with this, you assume there’s no way out and that no one else has experienced your level of suffering. Been there and felt that way too. It’s a toxic part of mental illness where people assume “oh, well you must’ve not suffered as bad as I did, otherwise you’d never have gotten free because I haven’t gotten free, therefore there’s no way out” Sometimes other people also treat you like shit or make your life hard or you have physical problems. And even being able to afford rent and food depends on other people giving you a job so you are always dependant on other people. Wow, yall are a sour bunch. I’m not down with the “happy thoughts will fix it all” line of BS but I didn’t read that in OP’s post. I read that if your life has been shitty and you want it stop being shitty then you’re responsible for taking action.

You don’t have to take action alone, asking for help is action. Accepting help is action. Sitting around whining is not action. Meditation is about letting go of stories. The story of your victimhood is one that you should let go of. Bad shit happened to you. Will you accept that it happened and from that place of acceptance move forward, or will you sit around feel sorry for yourself. I’m aware that this is a lot easier said than done. I would put A LOT EASIER in bold cap underlines but really there isn’t enough emphasis. Saying shit is easy, especially when you’re not the Mariah Carey 35th anniversary 1958 2023 signature shirt and by the same token and person having the hard time, but just because it’s easy doesn’t make it wrong. And there will be people who need the message that they can take responsibility for their own happiness. There will be people who don’t even think that’s an option and having a random person on the internet say it might help them. ??‍♂️
