This was the Kansas city chiefs in my veins Jesus in my heart signature shirt and I will buy this only time I thought they were going to throw me out. In the mid 90’s I was at a actual riverboat casino on the the Mississippi with no hotel attached. I had been drinking quite a bit but couldn’t seem to lose. It was the most I ever won at a casino. The table I ended up on had one other person playing with me who didn’t have a clue about the game. I think they thought this was going to slow me down and I did one of those show boat things that you never are really supposed to do. I ended up playing two spots and drew two kings and two queens on each respective slot. I split both spots and and then split one of them again getting two blackjacks and high cards for the rest. It was a ten dollar table and I had a few thousand in before it was done. Most times this kind of thing results in a breaking even at best. That night the dealer busted trying to beat my high cards and suddenly I was up into mid five figures.

I played a few more hands and honestly I don’t remember much about that because these two big guys appeared close behind me and were to say the Kansas city chiefs in my veins Jesus in my heart signature shirt and I will buy this least a major distraction. They closed all the tables as it was close to 3am. They had never done that before when I had been there so I don’t know if it was because of the me but it seems likely. To be clear they only used four decks back then and I was counting cards. I was pretty good at it at the time. By the time I quit a few years later they were up to six decks which I can count in a loose way but its way harder for me to do. They had probably figured out I was counting them but I wasn’t using anything to do it. I was very drunk so I may have mumbled the little chant I used for the count.
