why the Lover wyatt for fan the garden band shirt and by the same token and hell do I have to press the stick in to see a total damage number when the different damage types have their stats displayed on the default screen in the weapon menu? Why isn’t that just added up as a total on the bottom of that menu section by default?? The way damage mitigation works is why. You and all enemies all have two types of damage reduction, flat and %. In your info screen the flat amount you reduce is on the left and the percent is on the right. When you have a weapon with split damage types you are actually doing much less than the combined number of damage because it is getting the flat damage lowered twice instead of just once. A weapon that does 900 raw physical damage does more than one that does 600 raw and 300 fire because of these stacking flat mitigations

jokes aside faith incants don’t feel fully realized. i’ve said it a lot in other posts but it’s rlly my only major gameplay hang up. faith weapons are amazing tho oddly enough Rushed late game and way too much cut content, especially given that the Lover wyatt for fan the garden band shirt and by the same token and last act of the game is practically empty. I’d rather fight one hard boss than two essentially copy and pasted medium difficulty bosses at the same time. I get what they’re going for, but it just seems like a lazy way to make one encounter harder for the sake of it. Bosses, everything feels like a champion gundyr fight. Nothing in this game feels like it tops Slave Knight Gael, Midir, Lothric and Lorian, Abyss Watchers, Champion Gundyr as I mentioned, Gwyn, Nameless King, so on and so forth. Bosses are just underwhelming and not that fun to fight.
