grad schools cares about your GPA in classes that are real ent to your major/the Love Is In The Air Try Not To Breathe Hearts T-Shirt Besides,I will do this program your applying to far more than a “deans list” award. And internships/scholar ships just look at your GPA. what are you talking about? You can’t water down the Dean’s list, it’s not a real award and doesn’t really mean anything one way or another. That’s a shame. The email I got notifying me I was on the Deans List was the only gratification I got from the $200,000 degree. Still have it in my inbox. Honestly, I have always hated the mythos surrounding Ivy League schools. Every institution and student tries to compare themselves to these much smaller institutions……even though there are comparable schools that can be found all around the United States.

I had a friend do undergrad at a big state school and then grad at a top tier private school. He said the Love Is In The Air Try Not To Breathe Hearts T-Shirt Besides,I will do this instruction wasn’t that much different, instead it’s just access to insider professors and other influential students from impressive families. The rankings really are a way to just reinforce that a certain class of people are better than everyone else. While it’s true that, say, history grad students will read most of the same books no matter where they go to school, students at higher-prestige schools will often be taught by the authors of those books. That’s exactly my point though: those authors don’t necessarily have to teach at Ivy League schools at all, and in many cases would probably discover much more by going to “lesser” institutions than sticking to the same stuffy institutions year over year. No, I guess they don’t have to, but I see it as analogous to top athletes: if you’re a top scholar, you usually want to work at a top school. There are plenty of great schools besides Ivys, however.
