Oh no, I think I’m a moody cow then! As my first thought would be, “Are you bloody SERIOUS!?!”, and then a shake of my head at myself when I realised it was just a joke! It was more than 20 years ago, but at the Lil Darkie Insane shirt moreover I will buy this time I was so quiet and reserved I kept thinking “shall I say it? … shall I?” Nine times out of ten I’d have never said a dicky bird in case no-one laughed. Funny how these situations can jump out you. I remember I was about 17, working in a shop, and a really old gent asked where the canned aisle was. So I politely led him over, he asked me to help him find something, I took it off the shelf. He then asked me what the expiry date was and I read him the date, which was about 3 or 4 years in the future (being a can.) Really cracked me up, I’d been trying to be ever so polite and I was simultaneously shocked and delighted at the dark humour.

My grandma says she reads the Lil Darkie Insane shirt moreover I will buy this last page of every book she starts because she doesn’t want to go not knowing what happens My grandmother, 95, always asks for her birthday and Christmas presents early because she “might not be here on the actual day”. I swear she will outlive us all. I was on a bus once that stopped at the local hospital, driver got off to use the loo, old dear in front of me loudly exclaims to the rest of the bus, ‘i hope he’s no away for an operation!’ Was in a pub a while back. Got chatting to an old fella at the bar as you do. Told me he had three kids. “Triplets!” He shuddered. “I only did it once and ended up with three! I bought a telly after that!” Had me howling. It’s a common saying, usually if someone has a more than average amount of kids, someone will joke “do you have no TVs in your house?” My 12 year old son has been poorly recently and my husband took him to the doctor they saw a lovely lady doctor from Zimbabwe. She does all the normal exams, ears, nose, balance etc she then asked him to lay on the bed to feel his tummy and she asked him ‘are you pooing?’ my son looked horrified, looked at his dad and turned to the Dr and said ‘um not right now ‘ my husband and the Dr were in stitches and she said never in 25 years has she has that response lol Oh my gosh this reminds me of something embarrassing I did. I was hitting puberty and developing buds. My mum hadn’t had the talk with me yet and neither had the school. I had no idea what was happening to me. So the next time I was at the doctors, I lifted my t shirt all the way up and asked the doctor if they were tumours. The male doctor was shocked for a split second and my mum was aghast. I was reassured that it was very normal. My mum likes to bring it up every now and then. I was about 9 haha. I recall the doctor feeling quite uncomfortable about it all. My mum practically had her head in her hands
