This, for better or for worse, is a product of living in gendered societies. So many people still see short hair as more masculine, and defined muscles as more masculine, etc. I wish this wasn’t a gendered issue, but currently it is and it’s not going to change overnight. So the Let’s go Ghouls Halloween Shirt Also,I will get this point is that these things can be used to strengthen gender presentation for trans people. But cis people often use them too for the same reason. I sucks to see so much transphobia here. So many people in this thread are either being purposefully ignorant or cannot grasp this incredibly simple concept, super sad I think a lot of it is due to the vast majority of people being cis, and thus having never had to really give their gender identity or gender presentation/expression much thought. And what you said about black communities kind of just proves it by showing how there things are gender affirming exactly because that’s how we perceive them to be gendered in a society. Not really since long or short hair is not really gendered especially now it’s something that pointlessly gendered I used it as an example because that’s still a pretty common stereotype. You can replace hair with muscle mass, body hair, clothing, and more, point is still the same.
