Number 6 bus from Newport to Ventnor a few years ago. Only a few people on this double decker going through the Let’s Do Shots Believe In Science shirt Apart from…,I will love this countryside. Somewhere near Chale the bus stopped, the driver got off with her camera and went to take photos of the newborn Calves. Our regular school bus driver used to take a detour, stop in a bus stop not on the route to nip into the bookies. He was from a different era, on the busses since the 60s and this was late 90s early 2000s. He would smoke a pipe when driving the town service and if anyone complained he’d say the no smoking signs apply to passengers (to be fair the did say “no smoking, passengers can be fined £1000 for smoking on this bus). He was constantly on the horn, shouting and swearing at traffic. But those old contracts with his length of service and union backup they could never get rid of him.

Sat on the Let’s Do Shots Believe In Science shirt Apart from…,I will love this top deck of a Middlesbrough bus going to the town as a kid. Some little doyle throws a brick through the top windscreen. I was on a bus once, and a woman was sitting in the front seat and offered me her dog for free…she was asking everybody who came on the bus. It was an older black lab as far as I can remember, sweet thing, and she seemed drunk so…I said no, like everybody else. Anyway I went to get off the bus, and she was slumped over, nearly on the floor. I leaned over and tapped her on the shoulder to see if she was alright (clearly she wasn’t, but she looked dead…..she wasn’t though, just very drunk) The bus driver snarled at me ” She comes free an’ all….get the dog and she’s a bonus prize. Are you getting off my bus or not?”
