This sounds like some family abuse you’ve experienced and not the norm. If you’re underage and your parents are doing this, I want you to know that this is not OK. My mom worked 3 jobs when I was younger. Because of that she could never “force me to eat”. I’m now almost 30 years old, skinny as all fucks, and have the most bland taste buds imaginable. I feel like if while I was younger, I experimented with more than hot dogs, Mac and cheese, and Ramon noodles(I was young and shouldn’t have been using the stove anyways), and had someone force me to eat real meals, I’d be a lot healthier while eating a lot more types of foods. I’ll never force my kid to over eat, but he sure as fuck will be trying EVERYTHING and more than 2 bites and I’m full so he can eat snacks later

I do know a lot of families with kids that went through “eat nothing” phases where meal time looked like torture but was actually just them trying to get any calories other than dorito based ones into the Kyle freeland signature American professional baseball pitcher T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this kid, so from the outside looking in I think it’s important to understand we’re seeing one snapshot of something they go through every day and not to assume they’re forcefully over feeding their kid. But I’ll never understand parents who forvr well self regulated kids to eat portions beyond what the kid would have taken for themselves. Unfortunately my mom was one of the kids that was picky to the point of malnutrition and assumed I was the same and realized too late that I was happy to eat as much as I could of whatever was put in front of me. Now as an adult it makes sense because she’s the odd one out and both my father’s family and my mother’s family have histories of obesity and over eating. So. Whiffed that one mom. Ah well. Ironically it’s my cousin that got the “eat nothing” characteristic, and HER mom (my mom’s sister) is very much a fat shaming kind of person so now my cousin has the muscle mass of a twig, the diet of a picky 3 year old, and a legit fear of food.
