To give an example, I’ve had to move back in with my parents after a no-fault eviction, where I was paying £520pcm for a one-bed flat (I live in the Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guerrero WWE Championship Match New York, NY March 14, 2024 poster shirt in addition I really love this Midlands). I pay £400pcm (plus the cost for the storage locker that’s got all my stuff in it). Of that, £300 goes into a savings account on my behalf. Most of the rest of my salary is going into other savings accounts as well – I’ve got a lifetime ISA that I’m filling up to get the maximum government bonus (plus another savings account), in the hope that in a couple of years I’ll be ready to buy a house on my own. (edit – clarification) I paid my mum 25% of whatever I earned. I was only on a day rate to start so if I didn’t work much I contributed less. I felt it was a fair way to do things.

think I paid £200 a month – my parents sat down and told me how much stuff is like water bills, food, energy bills, council tax, etc, I was on 18k at the Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guerrero WWE Championship Match New York, NY March 14, 2024 poster shirt in addition I really love this time, so had enough left to save and still live decently I charged my daughter £10/wk on the proviso that she saved an equivalent local market rent in order to provide herself with a decent deposit either for rent or a mortgage so that, importantly, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to her adjusting to real life costs when the time came for her to move out, and get into the habit of savvy budgeting and self-control. I also helped her setup a monthly standing order of £25 to a savings account for things such as holidays or weekends away. I told her that if I felt she was spending too much on frivolous things outside of this that I’d increase the £10/wk. She decided she wanted to buy a house and Martin Lewis’ helpful guides were key, plus a brilliant mortgage advisor at the bank. Unbeknownst to me, she secretly opened a high interest account fixed for 2 years and when she moved into her new house 2 years later, she deposited £1600 into my account for Christmas. When I found it in my account I wept with wonderment, awe and pride at my loving girl’s achievements. Without telling her, I gave her back £1k as HER Christmas present.
