I used to work as a performer (nothing as big as a music awards tho) but given my little experience with stardom- usually the Kindergarten We Are Done First Grade Here We Come Bear T-Shirt moreover I love this performer has little to no say about what the camera is doing. That’s kinda why I brought it up, because the artist looks like she’s having a great time with the queens, but the camera is literally so zoomed in on the singers face most the time. Think back to any music award show we’ve seen throughout our lives, how many times did the camera operator zoom in to a shaking ass? Or the dancers on stage? And you’re right, what about audience reactions? It was just like an “oh of course they are completely zoomed in on her face while she’s around the queens” moment for me. Although, not surprisingly since I feel like country music is a bit more of a conservative crowd. I say this as someone who has lived in Florida for over 10 years. So to me, it just came off kinda shitty and I felt like there were some higher ups that probably weren’t happy about the drag queens and made it a point for the camera operators to avoid giving them screen time. I know, sounds a little conspiracy but as a black person who experiences micro aggressions on a daily, I felt like it was a slight to the queens to intentionally show as little of them as possible. Due to the political standing of the audience and higher up production company running the whole thing.

These looks are my dream costumes for if I ever get to do drag properly. I absolutely live for Kennedys in particular Manila would not be my first thought for the Kindergarten We Are Done First Grade Here We Come Bear T-Shirt moreover I love this CMA’s, but she’s giving me hand gestures*, she’s giving me emotions*; she’s impeccable. I always picture in my head the queens to be like 5’6 and petite, in proportion with each others. I always get whiplash when I see them with average size people. After a long night of hooking, trade didn’t like the session so he had gutted me and set me on fire. But you know I didn’t die. I had crystallized. And now I’m a glamazon, bitch, ready for the runway Yes. I feel sometimes artists just like the novelty of having drag queens on stage and don’t think further than that. I still appreciate their involvement in the perfomance though! I definitely appreciate it too! Just feels like a crime to have Kennedy on stage and not have her dance up a storm. Olivia’s tights being white and outfit being unsteamed makes me think maybe she was filling in for someone else who didn’t show up or something What a seemingly random yet powerful statement to make at the CMAs of all places. Love that she’s more scantily clad than the queens, cause she knows people are going to have a hard time pointing at them as “InApPrOpRiAtE fOr cHiLdReN” when she’s wearing a jumpsuit cut right up to her cooch lol
