I was summoned at 18 for a child incestual rape case. I spent my lunch break crying, and that was just during jury selection! It was too much. I enjoyed my jury duty experience. I do have a salary job and was able to move my jury report date to something that worked better for me. I also did some of my work in the evening. If I didn’t have a flexible job, it wouldn’t have been possible. I learned a lot and hope to be able to do it again in the future.
