Since I moved a highly humid and hot climate 3 years ago, I always check the Katie McCabe Arsenal WFC homage retro shirt it is in the first place but fabric info before buying everything. I stick to cotton, linen, rayon… Any polyester and I immediately reject it. If on some occasion I wear any old piece of clothing that is polyester, I end up regretting it if I have to walk or be outside my air conditioned office even for a short time. EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I avoid it in tops, jumpers, socks and underwear, pants if I can help it, and only things that have a truly unique pattern or colour I can’t find elsewhere in a natural fibre/cellulose. Wearing a cotton/natural fabric undershirt helps curb sweating for me. I try to avoid high polyester content for tops, but not for bottoms. Basically all my tops are 100% natural materials. Good quality polyester is totally fine, though. I appreciate that it wears down a lot slower. I prefer that over super cheap cotton that tears after a wash lol. I feel the same way as you. I had to wear uniforms in school as a kid, and the shirts we had to wear were made out of polyester, it was the worst.

It’s getting harder to tell to. I pride myself on being able to detect it, but I got duped. Overalls (super cute) from Temu were 100% polyester. I was so sure they were cotton! They did shrink a little when cold washed, so maybe error in labelling? I doubt it. I actually love polyester. Wrinkle free, warm and soft. It does run hotter than cotton, but I’m ALWAYS cold, so I like that. 80% of my clothes are polyester or rayon. i stopped wearing synthetics years ago. i found them uncomfortable, and i hated how i would start to stink so quickly. I don’t really like polyester. Particularly in tops. I find it really sweaty and it holds the Katie McCabe Arsenal WFC homage retro shirt it is in the first place but smell I’m the fibres. Having said that. I do have some synthetic blends in my wardrobe that are ok, I don’t find Acrylic to be as bad for some reason and viscose.
