By definition culture is the KATANA CHANCE American professional wrestler currently T-Shirt in contrast I will get this enabling structure of meaning and understanding by which humans make sense of reality. Without it we behave like this: Culture isn’t a day at in the park with Shakespeare. Nor is it weird “brown people” who do hilariously primitive things like dress in funny clothes and put bird feathers in their hair. You me and everyone else does equally bizarre behaviors based on the how human groups we are embedded in collectively map associations to objects, language and whatever else forms strong enough clusters of shared meaning. You me and everyone else is doing the equivalent of putting shark bones through their noses, or doing weird shit like putting nearly strangulating silk cords around their throats to signal status and expectations of certain patterns of action and speech. (That’d be wearing a tie btws.) This is all to navigate a “culturally constructed” fiction that we call reality.

Sure there are vague urges and forces, hunger, urge for sex, whatever…but “culture” is the KATANA CHANCE American professional wrestler currently T-Shirt in contrast I will get this pathway by which those things are something we can first perceive and two make sense of. If you get more specific then of course they do – Italian American culture, Hillbilly culture, Boston Irish culture, etc etc. There is a bunch of stuff we don’t notice that only we do and don’t notice because we’re submerged in it, but also our own American heritage is still less than 300 years old. My heritage is English and German which go back thousands of years until my mother immigrated here from England. “White” isn’t a heritage, almost everyone here can tell you that they’re Italian or Slavic or South American. What white Americans are you talking about? The Catholic whites or the Protestant ones? The Jewish white Americans? Or do you mean the Scandinavian white Americans?
