When I was in the front of the bus, waiting to leave, I could hear him getting nastier and nastier to my now empty seat as I waited to leave. Some people can argue with an empty seat. Some people could fight with a knockdown Bozo clown toy and be beaten by it. So, just say, “My mistake, accept my apologies” and move on. Beyond that, it could be that the person is just looking for a fight.
