Same issue with the Kansas City Chiefs And Kansas City Royals Football T-Shirt and by the same token and world itself, oh it’s pretty all right, but it’s so incredibly hollow. Dungeons are all the exact same —-> locked door mid way —-> find 2-3 keys/switches/enemies—> go through door and kill boss (which all feel a but samey too). They made the game so grounded, I dont feel much joy exploring, it’s all very by the number. In D2 you had long, multifloored (3-4) dungeons with interesting themes, varied enemy types and stuff. Now it’s dungeon/cave/catacombs with undead/imps/bandits or the occasional spider. Itemization is yawn inducing. PoE, Grim dawn and heck even Chronicon, a little indie retro styled arpg nail the itemization/build progression way better than D4. In Chronicon, I was still finding absolute build changing items far far into the endgame. Cosmetically, gear is boring as hell too. Don’t get me wrong, set are pretty… but they are purposefully bland (even legendaries) to funnel us to the cosmetics shop. I knew this would happen the moment I learned they would add a shop like this… and to be fair, PoE keeps you looking like a hobo even in the end game unless you pay for cosmetics, but that game is F2P… not 140$ canadian that I paid to buy this.

I don’t think i will play much longer and go back to other arpgs until they (hopefully) manage to fix this. Had I bought it on ps5, i wouldve returned it. I understand it’s a live service game and it’ll improve over time, the Kansas City Chiefs And Kansas City Royals Football T-Shirt and by the same token and base to build upon is solid, but there is much work to be done to make this anywhere close to my main game. I definitely foresee more players reaching the same conclusion once the honeymoon period is over. You know what they say about the lipstick on a pig and all.. Glad to see I am not the only one not swayed by amazing graphics and truly masterful music. Love them both, 10/10. When it comes to the meat and potatoes of a true ARPG though… it’s truly Diablo 3.5, and I hate admitting that, as I was counting down the months to this release.
