Itemization and skill tree is my main complaint. I feel like how every system ties together is an attempt by someone just discovering ARPG to create one without really understanding what makes them fun. This results in shallow systems without many interesting decisions. There is no real chase, when I drop an item, I’m not excited. My build doesn’t feel like it’s really evolving. Builds are made possible because of items, there is no room for people to create builds devs didn’t think of. And the Just A Girl Who Loves Eeyore Heart Shirt Also,I will get this generator/spender design is still absolutely stupid and I cannot get how anyone could think it’s a better system than other ARPG. Again, visuals, sound design, music.. All lovely! But the actual systems that make a good arpg are all bastardized, unfortunately.

Having only five different dungeon bosses also add to this taste. Also events really feels like I already did them in D3 million times. Yes, there’s a lot of new one, but when I see next Jar of Souls I feel like I’m back in D3. Yep , same.. gameplay is fun as always , atmosphere and maps are great.. but im missing what d2 had or any other good rpg has.. “unique” items .. I like a game where every item has his own stats ( attack speed, base damage, requirements ) , here as u put it , they just feel like “stat sticks”.. two handed items all have the Just A Girl Who Loves Eeyore Heart Shirt Also,I will get this same attack speed , same as one handed.. and the base damage scale with the goddamn ” item power” bullshiet.. I feel the same. It’s certainly very pretty, but it’s also incredibly hollow. Im reaching 50 and after playing a full month of Grim Dawn before D4 release day, it’s night and day. They really just don’t get it. My build has been the exact same from 20-50 with zero variation in actual gameplay. Level scaling makes it impossible to feel anything more than a very slight feeling of power for a level until they catch up. Its super unsatisfying.
