Most of these rubes wanting to carry their guns everywhere are massive pussies. They wouldn’t know wtf do in a situation where they might actually need it. But this just shows how stupid the argument is, arm the teachers, when you realize they need to juggle kids safety, their own, and hunting a armed bad guy… It’s been asked before, but what is the answer to this problem? Active/School shooters are highly disturbed people looking for means to do harm to others. These sick individuals are not an accurate reflection of your average responsible gun owner. I know looking at the News, shootings seem so much more prevalent today than a decade or so ago. It is so incredibly deeply disturbing this is such a problem and it makes me sick thinking such evil exists. So what do we do? Making more laws against modern gun platforms(AR-15) and against responsible gun owners that haven’t committed any crimes involving a firearm, won’t solve the underlying issue. I would like to think I understand both sides of the argument, if any of you feel I don’t please tell me. I am a pro 2nd amendment gun owner and avid collector, hunter, fisherman, etc. BUT I have an open mind. I see this problem and I want to come to a solution for anti-gun folks as well as pro-gun folks.

I’m in the Just a woman O’reilly who works for O’reilly auto parts shirt Apart from…,I will love this middle if the argument about guns. I don’t own one. I believe that, recreational gun ownership (for things like hunting) is fine, though I don’t necessarily agree with killer animals for sport. However, if someone can honestly prove that removing access to guns from citizens will stop this rampage of shootings, then I will support it. Now, I’m no expert on statistics and such, but I’d like to give my two cents on this. Like you said, perhaps the gun owners themselves aren’t necessarily unstable, but it’s usually their close kin who are, and there’s the problem. I’d assume that most parents would probably instruct their teen how to access and use the firearm in case of intruders (for the typical gun types of course). Those that go hunting may even take their child to participate in the sport. Is that wrong? Eh, i don’t agree with it, but I can’t dictate how someone else raises their child, even if it may affect mine at some point. Now, those children who are taught how to use those weapons may or may not have an underlying mental issue that the parents may or may not notice or tend to. For shootings that are done by unstable adults or with illegal weapons, I believe that mental health is still at fault to an extent. I think we need to start there.
