Video games are an entertainment/escape from reality. I can play as a man or woman or a frog for all I give a shit, all that matters is that it’s a good game But third person I want it to be a butt I can appreciate looking at for several hours, so I alternate, all butts can be appreciated. I do it for variety. In a game where you can have multiple characters, or do multiple playthroughs, having a different player model/animations/gear/clothes spices things up. Especially if it’s a game like WoW where every race/gender combination has its own unique animations and very different body shapes. I’ll try out a bunch of race/gender combinations in that game before picking what I’m going to use.
