The problem is a) they are asking question irrelevant to the job, and undoubtedly will use extrinsic information to filter applications in a biased way – b) this rates confidence more highly than competence – c) requires people to upload video of themselves to a public forum. Etc etc. I could go on but really it comes down being a morally dubious method of recruitment with no benefit to the candidate and embeds discriminatory practices in their shortlisting / hiring process. Also, depending on the jurisdiction, it’s literally against the law.
