You are getting poke with a small needle on a superficial vein. 95% of the pain people experience from needles is due to their anxiety of needles. I’ve seen people covered in tattoos scream bloody murder when I poke them. Obviously they are able to tolerate the sensation of a needle poking them if they are in the right mindset. Just be calm, hold still, and the whole thing will probably be done in like 20 seconds.
