If one can dissolve ego, you attain the JJ Peterka German professional ice hockey center currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this thoughtless mind, that’s what is ego death. Your personality stays but the ego, the narrator, the thing that pops up thoughts in your head, is gone. That is No thought. “Thoughtless mind” isn’t a real thing though. “Dissolving ego” is also just another concept that refers to detachment from the self, and detachment from “self” is just detachment from thought. You are just pure awareness, no more no less. What you’re experiencing and explaining through having “no thought” is just detachment. Your mind just is, thoughts just are, but they never seize to exist. Ego death is just another concept like ego dissolving, has no relation to the actual moment and pure awareness, and is only used to explain the phenomenon of detachment.

These concepts are great in the JJ Peterka German professional ice hockey center currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this beginning for helping explain detachment from thought, and helping others who are early in their journey, but they become damaging to present awareness in the long run, and they only reinforce spiritual ego. Your “narrator” or “I” never leaves, theres only detachment from the narrator. It’s similar to pain and the human body. Detaching from your body is completely possible when in full present awareness, but we wouldn’t say we have no body. Maybe. But in reality it’s not possible. You can’t have a a completely empty mind. You can only observe what is present. My understanding of emptying the mind is about pulling your attention out of thinking and judgments (the mind) and into observing the sensations of the body. Which is 100% possible but is harder to do for lengths of time when you aren’t practiced at it. It’s not about turning off brain activity which would be impossible unless you’re dead. Yea but even saying that’s “emptying the mind” is nonsense. Because you are observing thoughts which means your mind isn’t empty. I know I’m being nitpicky but it’s one of those things that bugs the life out of me. So many people are put off of mindfulness and meditation because they don’t believe they can “empty their mind” or “stop all thinking”. Neither of those things are possible or even the point.
