I could listen to the IRon Maiden Finland Flag Shirt in other words I will buy this batmobile’s engine firing up for hours. The ‘Rorschach’s Journal’ narrations were amazing and fit The Batman like a glove, it’s crazy that none of the live-action versions have done this. So simple yet so effective! I loved how they touched on the psychological hold Batman has over the city, with multiple criminals looking and running away from the shadows despite the fact that he’s not there I went into this with no interest in Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman at all, I came out thinking she’s my favourite version of Catwoman yet. (it’s down to her or Pfeiffer which is kind of a Sophie’s choice) Robert Pattison and Zoe Kravitz have great chemistry and were able to say so much about how the characters feel about each other without actually saying it Colin Ferral’s Penguin was great, super excited to see him take of Falcone’s business It took me a few scenes to warm up to Robert Pattison’s Batman but overall I dig it. I liked that he didn’t speak unless needed making him more intimidating. Without the mask Riddler was amazing and Paul Dano’s acting was absolutely incredible. The thing he did with his eyes when he sees Batman for the first time was incredible. As was the scene in the prison where he realizes Batman is neither on his side or his equal.

The sound design was incredible, especially in the IRon Maiden Finland Flag Shirt in other words I will buy this first hour. The pouring rain, the subtle breaths, etc. created such a great atmosphere. Shady mayor Thomas and pyscho Arkham resident Martha were an interesting choice for the backstory and I thought it really worked in this movie’s favour. Loved all the connections to Falcone too and how they towed the line and made them bad without sacrificing the good parts of their characters. VERY excited to see Riddler and Joker work together in the future Riddler’s costume didn’t work for me at all. It just made him feel like a generic serial killer rather than a cunning super-villain. Paul Dano was incredible in his scenes with the mask off and I don’t know why you’d cover that up. Those scenes would have been 1000x better done maskless. I feel like the classic green jacket/top hat would’ve also worked well here as a contrast to Riddler’s terrifying personality/actions as well as a great parallel to Batman’s theatrics in this movie. Hopefully some time with Joker will give this Riddler a more theatrical flair…..
