You don’t seem to realize that people are absolutely sick of empty corporate bullshit like we saw with COVID. “We got this” – “We are all in this together” blah blah, and now you just stepped right into the Introverted but willing to discuss saxophones music T-Shirt and I love this corporate bullshit speak concerning something as important as racial issues in this country. If NOTHING else, I just want you to understand how you are coming off as tone deaf to a lot of people and appearing to be “ticking boxes” for PR which just pisses people off and distracts from the actual important shit the world is trying to deal with. You know how it sounds really fucking stupid when someone says “But I have a black friend!” right? Look in the mirror. There are entire recruitment firms that specialize in bringing together a smart and diverse group of candidates for positions like this. I’m definitely no expert in this field but just having a quick look online and they all seem to be VERY CLEAR that you shouldn’t do what you just did. Please, contact some professionals to get some advice here.

I still can’t believe you just outright said this. You can’t take this statement back. Even if there is some legal “wiggle room” concerning board members you have just opened Reddit and yourself up to all sorts of attacks from white supremacists and conspiracy nuts. Ultra-Conservative voices are going to have a field day with this. EDIT: Okay guys I get it. From a legal standpoint its probably defensible. Of course I wasn’t actually going to submit a complaint, I wanted to stress a point. I still think it is clownish as fuck to go about it this way. Desperately seeking praise for something they haven’t even done. It’s just asking for people to accuse them of being “virtue signalling lefties” not actually doing anything truly meaningful to help. I am glad they want to diversify the Introverted but willing to discuss saxophones music T-Shirt and I love this board, but wow….just amateur corporate shit here IMO.
