I bet within the I’m not old I’m classic shirt and I love this next year we’re gong to see an advance on our tax returns like we did in ’08. GOP will play it up as an anti-tax thing, Dems will play it up as a bipartisan thing…when what it really is is a calculated speedbump to kick a mass default another few months down the road. Real estate is going to get hit again, its still fucking overvalued…but I think autoloans are really going to get torpedoed. What low wages? I work as a (EU) security guard and make about 2500 euro a month. With an increase of 8,5% incoming January next year. Our mortgage is 420K @ 1.88% for the next 30 years. About 1400 a month. We get part of that back through taxes, so net 1200 euro a month give or take a little.

Sacrifice. There are plenty of things that I want but there are things that I need and that is what I scrimp and save to be able to afford. In my I’m not old I’m classic shirt and I love this dynamic, it takes two income streams to make it all work. If either myself or my wife were to lose our jobs, then it would be rough times. The only people I know that are doing well right now are people I don’t know very well at all. We are all having a tough time of things right now, it’s just that some put up a better facade than others. There isn’t any other option. Food is one thing to cut out of your life. I haven’t bought full priced meat in years. I don’t take my meds as prescribed because I physically can’t afford them. You need a place to live because homelessness is considered a moral failure. You are far less likely to get hired for a job and far more likely to be fired if you’re homeless. So cut back on food to afford rent. I don’t waste any food at all. Onion skins, pepper cores, they are all used for vegetable stock because I can’t afford to waste even a little bit. It’s a struggle but I also think a lot of people have 0 money sense and make terrible financial choices on top of it lol
