Boomer here. Hi all. Man, this makes me sad to read about the I’m A Roofer I Don’t I Stop When Im Tired Stop When Im Done Roofer Roofing Job T-Shirt and by the same token and discontent of young people, and the anger directed at my generation. And the misinformation about boomers, in general. We’re now the grandparents. And one day you will, God willing, get to this point when you’re beyond the difficulties of raising your own kids and enjoy the rewards of meeting your grandchildren. We grandparents love you! Unconditionally! Well, I suppose I can’t speak for everyone, but the majority of us are decent souls. Boomers. Understand that we came of age in the ‘70s when as we were leaving h.s. we were faced with a ton of unemployment, very high interest rates (think 14%), expensive gas due to the oil embargo, heavy drug influences, an oil embargo by the Middle East (read about this sh*t) depreciation of our parent’s homes, so when they inevitably sold at heavy losses, many of us were left with not much at all. Along came the Roaring 80s with Reaganomics….again, read about this. Look, there will always be The Generation Gap. But I don’t get why millennials are holding their grandparents responsible for their woes. Where is Gen X in all this? Are they not your parents? How is it you think we had it easy? It’s been tough to climb up. It is never easy! And we wish you the very best; you are our grandchildren! Someday, that WILL mean something to you. Please, dear ones, stop blaming your grandparents….and your parents. Sometimes life is hard. It’s no one’s fault.

Bullshit. I work at a grocery store as a cashier and the I’m A Roofer I Don’t I Stop When Im Tired Stop When Im Done Roofer Roofing Job T-Shirt and by the same token and older people are so much ruder than the younger people. I can barely get 50% of the older people to say more than “hi”. and when they do say more than hi its either a “decent” conversation where they ask me how i am OR the more common scenario: i say “how are you” and they respond “good”… wow thanks for not asking how i am, i thought the youth didnt have good manners where did that go for you guys? These Business owners are simply the “work hard types” but never saved or invested, now struggle in todays world where they can’t get good workers and its everyone one else’s fault for their short comings young people feel entitled to stay home when they have a highly contagious disease. makes me sick…i mean, not physically sick like dying on a vent, more just sick to the ego because i cant control the minutiae of my employees lives You don’t have the flu AND COVID. It’s one or the other, but both are reason to call out. Better one person out a couple days than the rest of the staff
