I used to get these sorts of comments when I came to work with a blinding migraine. Document your illness, ask your boss if he has any doubts you were ill and remind him Covid is still contagious and possibly deadly to people in his age cohort. As a 62 year old still working, I would be very grateful you stayed home. Screenshot this in case he disciplines you over an unavoidable absence and start looking for a better situation. I just tell them I think they’re stupid for thinking they have to work that hard. Just look at how rich people live. Society is a joke. Could’ve brought up how you prefer to work with “professionals”. Boss is an idiot. and they wonder why they cant keep help. I am 65 and a proud mom to a 32 yr old and two older stepkids and grandkids ages 3,7,16 and 20. They are outstanding kids all them and do what is right. I am proud of todays youth and this young person who respectfully let the boss know they couldnt work 2 full days before a shift due to covid/flu is the kind of person I want working where I shop or go to doctor or hospitals etc. Shame on you too boss for posting this on facebook page of the establishment!!! If you are going to call someone out (and this boss was out of line and I’m assuming ignoring government mandates), please use the correct verbiage. Unrespectaful technically is a word, but rarely used. Disrespectful would have been a more common and understandable word choice.
