Partnering up with a top car maker that is also doing a quality work and products in the I Used To Be Just The Cool Sister Now I’m The Cool Auntie Shirt also I will do this field? Smart move Sony 🙂 You know, I wish one of these EV manufacturers would take on Tesla by making something that looks different from Tesla. All the EVs made to compete with Tesla that I see, regardless of make, are curved line, pill bug cars or crossovers which just don’t do it for me. IMO a manufacturer who is behind in this race can make up a lot of room with a good looking design (as long as their weaknesses aren’t glaring). If they all look the same, then it’s just a production and cultural significance race, which Tesla is winning by a long shot. I like a lot of Honda’s modern designs. I’d be fine with them taking existing car bodies and giving them electric drivetrains. However I do think one area Honda will succeed in where Tesla has not is that all the body panels will consistently fit together.

Wow, seeing this car for the I Used To Be Just The Cool Sister Now I’m The Cool Auntie Shirt also I will do this first time. Looks like it’s straight out of Wall-E. Definitely not my style, thanks for sharing though amazing car, priced similarly to cars with 400km range but the Honda does LESS than half. Massive failure ( but beautiful) From what I can remember, Tesla did A LOT of aerodynamic work to maximise how efficient the body of the car was. It could be detrimental to just ignore that work – granted the level of battery tech has improved since that initial design work was done. The shape of the Tesla is undenieably a strong brand. Yes coming up with something new is great but is it worth taking a huge risk? I absolutely hate the way every Tesla looks from the back. I don’t need a car that has instant 0-60 acceleration or x-wing doors or hips that don’t lie. Just give me a reasonable size SUV that is able to tow and gets decent distance on a charge. And don’t bury every control in a massive touch screen. Give me analog buttons for volume and the a/c. Crazy acceleration is just a natural aspect of electric motors, thats just not common knowledge so Tesla try to market it as some kind of special feature. I would love it as well. A door with a crank that I can replace for $5 instead of burning out a motor requiring hundreds to repair. I feel like the worm has turned on Tesla. They’ve squandered their lead with poor reliability, poor fit and finish, insanely expensive repairs, and irritating interior controls. As someone who will definitely be in the market for an EV in the next five years, a Tesla has fallen almost entirely off of my radar screen. Every automaker is coming out with their own models and will leverage their existing size, scale, and quality assurance to make vehicles that are simply better than Teslas. It’s basically already happened.
