I have met Alaska several times. She is incredibly gracious and generous with her time. If you can go to one of her shows at 3DB, RUN!!! Other incredibly nice queens I have met are Adore, Jan and Jaida. I was nervous to meet her, and I was telling the I say a lot of bad words cat cry T-Shirt it is in the first place but person in front of me in line, and he was like “oh don’t be nervous she’s great, I met her so many times she’s really chill”. So I watched him have his meet and greet with Alaska and it was so bizarre. He barely even said hi to her before sitting down on her, and positioning her arms in different ways for different pictures he wanted. Then he asked her to stand up so he can sit on her stool and she could sit on him. She went along with everything, and smiled throughout it, but it was very strange because it seemed like he was just treating her like some sort of puppet and he just wanted certain photos.

What! That is so weird! Did he think she was Santa Claus? Actually, even little kids don’t treat Santa like a prop for a full on photo shoot. It was really weird! And he kept making model-face poses for each picture. It felt cringy. And almost a dehumanizing thing to do to someone. Alaska’s manager or someone on her team was there, and he was the I say a lot of bad words cat cry T-Shirt it is in the first place but one to be like, “okay that’s the last one” to the photographer. She’s a superfan who just loves what she does and appreciates the fuck out of the craft. If she’s ever at a bar near you, see her. Especially if she’s performing live! I saw her in NYC recently and she was just there to have a good time. I met her once at a meet and greet and didn’t have a great experience. It was her and Sharon touring together and I could see while waiting in line that she really didn’t want to be there. She only gave 1 word answers to everyone that spoke to her and kept sitting far away from everyone. I actually have a tattoo of some of Alaska’s lyrics and was excited to show her and all I got was “cool” and then she turned away. Everyone has bad days but if everyone has paid to meet you at least fake it for a few minutes. Was a bit disheartening considering how funny and charismatic she comes off as on TV.
