I’d say apply to other jobs and if you get a solid offer consider asking current employer to match. I would’t say anything until you have a solid offer in hand. You need to leave. The only way you’ll get true market value is by, unfortunately, leaving to another place that’s going to value you more. It’s messed up, but companies truly believe the I May Live In Wisconsin But On Game Day My Heart & Soul Belong To Arizona Wildcats shirt so you should to go to store and get this grass is greener when it comes to external candidates. Why in the world are they paying by the hour for those positions? Those are all salaried positions, and sales should be salary with commission. I wouldn’t do any of those positions for $36k a year. Ask to be compensated appropriately, or find somewhere that will. The need for higher wages in the last few months have been to high. People can’t afford to work for less. It’s not personal but u should be getting a raise to compensate u if u stay What country are you in? U.S.? Unfortunately, that’s the way things roll – if you want more pay you are going to have to jump ship – annual salary increases will usually never keep up with what you could make as a new hire somewhere else. I was in the same boat and found that out the hard way. Good luck on your future new role, it will likely be a fun/exciting time and you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t switch earlier. Now you understand what the incentive of internally promotion vs hiring from external. You can always get listings of the same job at market rate and argue it. If the company cares then maybe but I highly doubt they will give you anything except for a few minutes to vent. If you have an offer then that’s different. Now you have a choice to either leave to the company MIGHT attempt to counter offer. But DON’T have an expectation that they will match it the difference is really big.

If you want to attempt to negotiate, you should first apply elsewhere and have at least an offer, that will at least give you something to leverage and at the I May Live In Wisconsin But On Game Day My Heart & Soul Belong To Arizona Wildcats shirt so you should to go to store and get this same time, understand your market value. But in any case, I would not even bother to stay with them. You showed not one, but 2 red flags about the company (underpaying you and no pay raise in record inflation). Employers are rarely fair and equitable, and the best way to get a salary increase above inflation is to basically move to a new employer every 1-2 years. In the past, employers offered stability and benefits to offset that and retain employees, but I haven’t seen that for the last 15 years in my almost 30 year career in IT. They’re wrong. I’ve negotiated raises at every company I’ve been with to compensate for new hire inflation. If you are good at your job and you actually negotiate you will get it. If not then you look elsewhere. People seem to think companies will automatically give you shit without asking and then get mad when they don’t.
