You need to be playing higher than 1080 to get higher fps. Your GPU is going to be bottlenecked by your CPU at 1080. I want my game to run at 60, or 120 if I had an high hertz monitor. 100fps on a 144hz monitor looks significantly better than 60fps on a 144hz, and the difference between 60-100 is far more noticeable than 100-144. I’d argue it’s a sweet spot, I don’t mind at all when a game dips from 140+ to 100fps, but if it dips below ~75 thats when we have a problem.

I’m a little glad that I still haven’t gotten fully accustomed to 144Hz. Even 40-50 fps is deemed acceptable by me. The launcher would constantly crash, when the game would launch it would freeze and stutter and crash. It’s soooo much better and runs beautifully now. Haven’t had an issue with it in a long time, but it was still a mess at launch. Just like all these other PC ports now.
