Like I said, I wasn’t in healthcare… I provided meals, ran the I Hate It When I Lose My Stuff At Work Like My Favorite Pen Retro T-Shirt and I love this food service. It was tough, but I think a good experience to have. As I’m reaching my late 60s with15-25 years to go based on family medical history, I’d prefer, “it’s time to go” instead of “giving up”. My best wish would be to live fully as long as possible and go fast, when the time comes. One of the heartbreaking things is some residents who are some 98-99 years old, they are at the “it’s time to go” mentality, and their bodies actually do not cooperate…. you bring a very sweet lady dinner, and ask them how they are doing and their response is “I just wish I would die, I’m ready.” At 71 I have lived longer than all known ancestors but one. Most of my High School friends are dead. I have no fear of death, am not in a hurry, but when it is “time to go” there will be no fuss. I will only be sorry for putting my wife through the mess of her being a widow again.

I witnessed for days, an older lady in extended family keep sleeping until she eventually just let go I guess. And they talked about it all the I Hate It When I Lose My Stuff At Work Like My Favorite Pen Retro T-Shirt and I love this time as she slept more and more and kept waking up saying “I’m still here” will a smile on her face and a little chuckle. I even recall her being upset that she didnt leave while having specific dreams. I couldn’t imagine a more humble way to leave this place. My great grandpa died of purely old age, without heart problems, cancer, or any other health problems. When he was 101 years old, he had sudden loss of appetite, so my family took him to the hospital. The hospital was talking about all these drastic things they could do for him to keep eating, such as feeding tube.​​ But a nice nurse took my family aside and told them off hand that there is nothing wrong with him, but he just naturally dying of old age. She advised them to take him home and let nature peacefully take its course. So they took him home. At first he was drinking water. Then he said he just wanted ice cubes in his mouth sometimes. Then he asked for a little sip of beer ( maybe because alcohol gets absorbed into the bloodstream faster than other liquids which is what he needed). Then my grandma looked in his room and saw his arms stretched up towards the sky like he was looking at something. Then later that day when she went back in, he had passed away.
