From my experiences, centrists tend to be people who are too busy to actually keep track of political issues and how they evolve but still want to have a day in the matter. This is frustrating for everyone else because, since centrists don’t have firm stances on many beliefs, they can be easily swayed by manipulation since all someone needs to do to get a centrist on their side is make more sense to them the moment they are needed than the other person.
