Me and partner go for walks in the Housekeeping Squad We Clean It Like We Mean It Housekeeper T-Shirt moreover I love this country and we normally tick check each other since he had one in the back of his neck as a child. But I’ve never had one and I grew up in grass pretty much. I live in South London and I’m having to remove ticks from my dog on a regular basis. I walk the same route as him (surprise) and I’ve never had a tick. But he’s sticking his nose in and running around in the long grass. The local authorities are getting quite on board with “wilding” which means more long grass this more ticks. You’re most at risk if you’re in the long grass. Stick to the paths, wear long trousers and closed in shoes when in those areas and you’ll be ok. Insect repellant also works. Spray it on your footwear and clothing on your lower half before setting out. As others have said they’re really only a problem in wildlife areas with long grass.

I’m in the Housekeeping Squad We Clean It Like We Mean It Housekeeper T-Shirt moreover I love this Midlands and I caught Lyme disease from one. The docs had me in as soon as I mentioned a bullseye had appeared on my side. Had my first dose of Doxycycline within 2 hours of calling them, I was impressed by the swiftness of it all. Yes there are, and my dog got one in Beckenham park. They are not as common as some countries, but they are definitely here. Even in London. I personally have never had a tick bite, but I have had to remove ticks from my cats over the last 20 years. I’ve had multiple friends get tick bites and two in the last 5 years have developed lyme disease. They do exist and happen, but I don’t fret too much about them. There are warnings occasionally about walking through long grass with shorts on etc, and telling people to stick to paths. Check pets etc.
