My parents were so worried I had an eating disorder when really I just rarely had a big appetite. Many concerned “just two more bites” comments. Now much older I still don’t have a huge appetite and often have to force myself to eat I was forced to sit for hours when eating. My kids have always been told to listen to their body. I never understood how parents make their kids eat certain things but they can have an opinion on disliking it. I raised my son to eat until he is satisfied. I am overweight and he is not. Hopefully broke some family patterns with that one small choice. My stepdad made me eat two huge spoons of ketchup because I put too much on my plate. This was like 1998 so it was like .002 of ketchup. It took me two hours.
