This is a joke, right? Harry Reid and the Happy New Year 2023 Unlocked Gamer Girl Eve Party Video Game Wings T-Shirt in contrast I will get this Democrats were the ones to end the filibuster for judicial nominations. If you want to point the finger that’s where it should point. Absolutely love the short sightedness coming from reddit about this. In a couple of months democrats are going to lose their majority and you want the filibuster to be ended? Interesting. How bout yall just shut down the government. No f35 upgrades, no trillions for bullshit wars, or bridges to nowhere. If the democrats were serious, they’d have whatever they want.. Democrats did it for similar purposes but notably not to get Obama’s third Supreme Court nomination in. They didn’t have enough votes to get the third nominee in with the nuclear option or they would have. Republicans did have the votes and suddenly had no problem with a president having 3 Supreme Court picks. Force them to be accountable to their voters and they will be forced to leave behind the far right and the religious right in order to be relevant again. The problem will solve itself once red state voters start getting basic things like healthcare and living wages. GOP, what have I done to you to make you hate me? Seriously… what wrong have I done to you, for you to feel justified to do this to me? Sorry Bernie this dem party doesn’t wanna be mean to republicans. As nancy Pelosi says more than once “we need a strong Republican Party”

They’d be happy to see us blow our load on something they want but then even keep it as an issue for the Happy New Year 2023 Unlocked Gamer Girl Eve Party Video Game Wings T-Shirt in contrast I will get this votes it brings. The filibuster break was needed long ago and especially for Supreme Court nominations. This is the wrong play and Bernie us flexing where he shouldn’t. Just tell us the Truth! It was the Democrat’s that ended the filibuster not the republicans. You may not like it or want to face it, but Republicans didn’t break any rules/laws to get the conservative majority SCOTUS. If Democrats end the filibuster on legislation, they will pass one thing and say ‘this time only’. Republicans will come into power and will go to town with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch in retaliation. Was the lesson not learned after Harry Reid removed the filibuster for judicial nominees during the Obama admin? That precedent was used to put 3 conservative SC justices on the bench by Republicans… with no way to stop it. And now its being discussed again? This is what will happen: Dems will pass one thing and set precedent. Once Reps come into power they will overturn it and pass ‘every single god damn thing they want; 10,000 bills if they want, 10 million bills if they want’…. with NOTHING there to stop it.
