Seeing Texas leadership make the Happy Independence Day Dachshund Special Day Of July Shirt and I will buy this choice to reopen is distressing to Hinman, but it only solidifies the commitment he’s made to working with local mutual-aid groups to assist his community: “Austin Mutual Aid saved who knows how many lives, especially those of unhoused people. They’re operating with paper records, Twitter feeds, and text messages. What if they had state-level logistical support, combined with the members’ local knowledge and deep, personal kindness?” he wonders.
