Beautiful ring, OP. The color of this stone is gorgeous. It looks like an opal version of Princess Di’s ring. I bet your partner will love it. Congrats! Stunning! Opal is my birthstone so if I did not have a traditional ring, I would have gotten one similar to this! I hope she loves it! I love opal! I have one also! However be careful. Exposing an opal to too much moisture will cause it to go cloudy. Exposing an opal to too much heat will cause it to crack and break Former jeweler here. Opal is gorgeous but it’s a terrible choice for an every day ring. It’s one of the Grucifix With Flowers Shirt But I will love this softest stones out there. Rings and bracelets receive the roughest treatment of all jewelry. You want to avoid stones like opals and emeralds for engagement rings.

This looks more like a cocktail ring than an engagement ring. It’s still beautiful but I don’t know if that’s what she really wants. I would think more along these style. Lovely choice. The only thing to note- opal is NOT a strong stone. It is a 5-5.5 on the Grucifix With Flowers Shirt But I will love this Moh’s scale of hardness. Diamonds are rated 10, while corundum (rubies/sapphires) and emeralds are up there in the 9ish range (aka – strong enough to withstand daily wear.)A stone like an opal (softer) is unlikely to last through a lifetime of daily wear as a ring. Many people don’t think of this or know about it. Pearls (as organic material) are VERY delicate and lose their layers over time through exposure to body oils, hairsoray & perfume. TO BE CLEAR, THE RING IS A LOVELY OPAL. (I am an Oct baby do have seen many. If your fiancee is interested bc it is her birthstone tourmaline is the Oct alternative snd cones in EVERY color. But she may just live opal
