If a God is all powerful and all knowing, then it knows that it’s people suffer and does nothing to stop it, while having the power to. a misquote (probably) from someone in a YouTube comment section like… 10ish years ago. I think about this from time to time. most faiths that im aware of do try to argue that their god is all powerful, all loving, and all knowing. but that line of thinking just falls apart the moment you start to question it This is the problem of evil, it’s high school level philosophy of religion, you don’t need to cite some random youtube commenter, it’d be like thanking your buddy Dave the chef for inventing salad. i really dont care for any pantheon. there is so much horror and injustice in the world and its either being directly caused by a god, theyre ignoring it, or they dont care about it, and im not wasting my time with any of that shit.

Far as I see it, most religions (specifically Western) are calls to action to build the Green Day dookie 30th Anniversary Poster shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this perfect world based on its teachings for the hope of an equally perfect afterlife and the blind belief that it’s Interpreter is explaining the correct path to do so But let’s be real, very few people properly interpret the message correctly and often preach it selfishly and / or violently. Most atheists are fine with religion, it’s churches and other such gatherings that are collectively despised Other than the fact that I noticed a good amount of this thread has been relatively tame and respectable, the post is why I never talk religion/faith. I’ve run into so many people who see my necklace and practically insult me right off the bat for being religious. But my take is simple…my religion/faith is exactly that…mine. I’m not gonna try to convert or cram it in their face, or use it as an excuse to spread hate. I’ll just go on focusing on my life, help people when I can, and just try to enjoy what time I have on this rock. All I can do is ask the same…lets just be human beans and share this damn rock while we’re breathing and enjoy having our own individual thoughts, opinions, and beliefs in peace lol.
