I also have a large nugget and love to wear this:It isn’t a hat, but it is an adjustable visor and gives you the Good Times Tan Lines Shirt Besides,I will do this ability to wear your hair up. The brim is wide and protects my face and neck. If you’d also like the top of your nugget protected this isn’t the right choice. However if you’ve got lots of hair it’s the best. I second Tula! I have one and it’s so comfortable. It has an elastic head band on the inside and it very gently holds the head without squeezing. I haven’t been able to wear any other hats Another vote for sungrubbies. My xl head literally can’t wear any hat from stores, but I bought one from them and it fits great and I finally am living my floppy beach hat dreams

I just recently got the Good Times Tan Lines Shirt Besides,I will do this “Columbia women’s global adventure packable hat II”, and I love it. Nice wide brim, it has a tie so if it’s windy it’s less likely to blow away, and for my taste I find it pretty cute. I do have the small/medium, but based on their size chart I think the large/XL would fit you. My local REI had it in both sizes in-store, so you might be able to check it out in-person if you’re near an rei. I will say, I’m a little skeptical of its packability. It doesn’t feel like it would fare well getting rolled up or flattened, but I haven’t tried and it doesn’t sound like that’s necessarily something you’re optimizing for anyway. Yes, it’s a soft, kind of floppy paper material, so you can fold it or squish the top down flat. I don’t store it like that long term, but I have no worries about packing it in a suitcase or bag. I have the L/XL and it’s really big and really cute. Too big for me but it’s not a problem because I use the pull cord to tie it closer.
