You are taking the Ghost read more books shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this boycott to the extreme. The OP is just saying don’t go to countries where you don’t feel respected. Tourists not going to France does not mean Frace will stop all trade to India. France can’t say your citizens are not coming here/not using our products so we are insulted. Okay, let’s say we all stop “patronizing” the Western countries. What will you do about the racists that exist in India? And the castists? And the communalists? I lived in Germany and I agree that there are a lot of racist aholes there, and I always confronted them. But that being said a massive chunk over there is also very progressive, very left and accept reform with open arms. Can you say this about us? Especially with the path that we’re on.

The thing is, all those racists and castists and communalists are Indian, at the Ghost read more books shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this end of the day. Sure, things might not be looking great right now, but it is up to US as Indians to change that, through systematic education and tolerance and empathy. Can you change what a foreign country or another race thinks about you, due to their opinions of your skin color or whatever preconditios they have? Probably not very easily. Can you as a group of people in your own country change? I would say yes. From your tone I assume you feel India can’t do this. But the same country you are referring to as being massively progressive also had some pretty fascist and extremist people who tried to systematically eliminate an entire race 80 years ago – certainly, they amended their ways. So I’d say we can do it too. Sure, in the case of India, this might take a long time. But I think it’s possible. Say hello with a smile first the next time when you board and see the response that you get. If that doesn’t elicit a similar response, then there is definitely an impression/perception aspect in play.
